Kristen M. Kemple, PhD, is an associate professor of early childhood education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and is a former preschool teacher. She has taught graduate courses in early childhood art and music for many years.
Jacqueline J. Batey, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Charter School of Education at Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate education courses. She spent many years teaching regular and special education classes in public and private schools in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Lynn C. Hartle, PhD, is program coordinator and associate professor at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She teaches undergraduate and graduate play courses, stressing the value of play for children and adults.
